Description:  Beet Detroit Dark Red is an old heirloom from 1892. Original selections were made from Early Blood Turnip by Mr. Reeves of Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. Beet Detroit Dark Red has nearly round blood-red 3" diameter roots. Great for canning and fresh eating. Prolific, good keeper.
Planting: Sow Beet Detroit Dark Red seeds 2" apart, 1/2" deep outdoors
 outdoors as soon as soil. can be worked in spring. Can be planted at two-week intervals for continuous harvests. All parts of the beet plant are edible.
